Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first title since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after March of that year.
Victory also signifies he has secured 21 titles at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an better serving game.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players traded service breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his first tour championship, took control to push for a third set.
The opponent rescued 4 early-game break points in a competitive deciding set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner secured the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
